Arrive in Ölgii, the cultural heart of western Mongolia’s Kazakh region. Meet your climbing guide, cook, driver, and logistics team. After loading expedition supplies, depart toward the Altai Mountains.

The drive crosses open steppe, braided rivers, and wide valleys where yaks, camels, and horses roam freely. Snow-capped peaks gradually appear on the horizon as you approach the national park boundary.
